Filha da artista plástica Rita Selke e do fotógrafo Klaus Mitteldorf, Luiza Meiodavila é a entrevistada da semana. A cantora e compositora realizou o show de pré-lançamento do CD “Florescer” no JazzB nesta segunda-feira (6), em São Paulo.

Durante a apresentação, Luiza intercalou canções do CD com sucessos de artistas consagrados como Esperanza Spalding (na interpretação de I Know You Know), Bill Withers, Tom Jobim e Snarky Puppy (na canção Amour T’es La).
Luiza interpretou Laços, Calma, Sister, Don’t You Go, Sabes, Ame (em versão acústica com violão), deu nova roupagem ao chorinho Doce de Coco (Jacob do Bandolim) e finalizou a noite ao som de “Romance de Novela”, canção escolhida como carro chefe para o lançamento deste álbum.
O lançamento no formato digital acontecerá no início de abril e no formato físico está previsto para o mês de maio, através da Gravadora Galeão – antiga Velas, fundada por Vitor Martins e Ivan Lins – que apóia sua carreira. Após o lançamento físico do disco, a cantora também pretende lançar uma remessa do álbum em vinil.
Com apresentações agendadas no Madeleine Jazz Bar (dia 08 de abril) e o lançamento oficial do CD “Florescer” que acontecerá no Tom Jazz, com show marcado para o dia 14 de maio.
Luiza é acompanhada pelos músicos Cuca Teixeira na bateria, Gabriel Gaiardo no piano, Felipe Galeano no baixo, Lipe Torre e Zé Victor Torelli nos violões e guitarras, Renan Cacossi no saxofone e na flauta com participações de Jarbas Barbosa na guitarra e Walmir Gil no flugel.
Sobre Luiza Meiodavila
Nascida em São Paulo, a cantora e compositora iniciou sua jornada musical aos 4 anos, quando começou a tocar flauta doce na escola. Passeando por diversos gêneros musicais, Luiza carrega grande afinidade com o rock, soul e pop, porém apaixonou-se pelo mundo do jazz e da música brasileira, que resultou no CD “ Florescer” lançado em formato digital no início de abril.
Por incentivo da escola, decidiu aos 15 anos acrescentar o estudo do violão, aptidão que impulsionou seu canto. Muito tímida, sua relação com a música foi sempre muito particular. “Sempre tive a música como uma terapia, algo que entendia meus mais profundos sentimentos, e dividir isso com um público não era muito fácil.”, lembra.
