Com direção de Jarbas Homem de Mello, musical volta à glamourosa década de 50 no eufórico lançamento da aeronave que revolucionou uma época

“Atenção senhores passageiros com destino a Nova York, apertem os cintos e boa viagem”
Os anos dourados estão de volta com o espetáculo “Constellation – Uma viagem Musical pelos anos 50”. Após aclamada temporada carioca de 6 meses, texto idealizado por Cláudio Magnavita; com direção de Jarbas Homem de Mello e produção geral de Frederico Reder desembarca no Espaço Promon, em São Paulo.
O espetáculo é um brinde à modernidade e tudo o que ela trouxe ao país. Antes do Super Constellation G a viagem Rio de Janeiro-Nova York levava 72 horas! Com essa duração o Brasil não recebia visitas de grandes estrelas; a influência norte-americana chegava muito tardia. A partir de 2 de agosto de 1955 isso mudou, o voo passou para 20 horas, assim começamos a ficar mais próximos desta cultura.

Ator na montagem do começo dos anos 2000, desta vez Jarbas está nos bastidores. “Quando Fred me chamou pra fazer Constellation 15 anos depois, eu tentei trazer um novo olhar, dar uma modernizada na estética do espetáculo. Nós mexemos no texto, nas músicas e nos arranjos pra fazer um musical novo, não uma remontagem, uma nova montagem”, conta Jarbas. Reder pontua “parece que no Brasil é pecado ter remontagem, monta e joga fora (…) merecemos ter clássicos e Constellation pode virar um deles”.
Sob direção musical de Beatriz de Luca e coreografias assinadas por Vanessa Guillén, o musical é embalado por 17 clássicos americanos da época dourada, entre eles “Jambalaya”, “Unforgettable” e “The Great Pretender” (as canções não foram versionadas). De acordo com Beatriz foi um trabalho ‘Hercúleo’, porém muito prazeroso; o desejo de liberdade de mexer nos arranjos foi além, “como os arranjos não foram localizados, eu tive que refazê-los completamente!”.

E O GANHADOR É…
1955 – Brasil, Rio de Janeiro. Copacabana efervescia com o boom imobiliário, todos queriam morar no bairro da moda. “Começaram a aparecer as quitinetes, quartinhos quarto e sala com uma janela lateral que dava pro bondinho e o Cristo Redentor. Uma época de glamour, de grandes possibilidade pós-guerra, novas oportunidades que se abriam mundialmente. E Regina Lúcia condensa esse espírito desbravador querendo conhecer tudo o que o mundo poderia dar a ela”, explica o diretor.
Neste contexto histórico-cultural, Constellation conta a saga da sonhadora Regina Lúcia (Jullie) para ganhar um concurso da Rádio Nacional, cuja final acontecerá no Golden Room Copacabana Palace. O premiado será contemplado com uma passagem no voo inaugural do Super Constellation G acom destino a NY. Moradoras do mesmo quarto e sala na Zona Sul carioca, sua mãe (Lovie Elizabeth) e sua tia – vedete do Cabaré Casablanca – Maria da Penha (Andréia Veiga) embarcam junto nesta aventura.

Uma boy band dos anos 50 liderada por Murilo Armacollo permeia a trama lembrando o estilo e musicalidade da época; já no segundo ato o trio feminino derrete-se pelo famoso playboy milionário Jorginho Guinle (Franco Kuster), responsável pela ponte Constellation-Celebridades-Copacabana Palace. Gabriel Calixto, Marco Azevedo e Murilo Armacollo são os novos passageiros do Constellation na temporada paulistana. Segundo Vanessa Guillén, a seleção foi árdua, preferência para atores-cantores que entrassem facilmente na coreografias, vozes e todo processo em três semanas. “A gente tem ritmo, posicionamento, movimento; e geralmente são cantores, precisamos de cantores e não bailarinos, então quando conseguimos os dois é uma benção…” – Jarbas completa – “…a gente pega e não desgruda nunca mais (risos)”.

Curiosidades
* O voo inaugural do Constellation G para o público foi em 2 de agosto de 1955; coincidentemente a estreia da temporada paulistana ocorreu no domingo 02 de agosto de 2015, 60 anos depois.
* Jullie e Andréia Veiga estão indicadas ao Prêmio Reverência 2015, nas categorias atriz e atriz coadjuvante respectivamente.
* Por sua voz particular, muito emotiva e a maturidade para ser a mãe da protagonista, Lovie Elizabeth foi a primeira atriz convidada por Jarbas a integrar a nova montagem.
A eterna paquita Andrea Veiga, que vive Maria da Penha no musical, tem um convite especial para os leitores do Acesso Cultural!
