O Teatro J. Safra inicia sua temporada teatral de 2018 com uma peça estrelada pelas atrizes Priscila Fantin, Luíza Tomé e Letícia Birkheuer. A comédia dramática “Além do que os nossos olhos registram” é escrita por Fernando Duarte, mesmo autor de “Callas” e “Depois do amor”, ambos dirigidos pela saudosa Marília Pêra. A direção artística da peça é de Fernando Philbert, que esteve a frente de aclamados espetáculos, como “O topo da montanha”, com Lázaro Ramos e Thais Araújo e “O escândalo de Felippe Dussack”, com Marcos Caruso.

Inédito em São Paulo, o espetáculo que já foi sucesso de público em duas únicas apresentações em Porto Alegre no último mês de outubro, chega ao Teatro J. Safra trazendo temas super atuais como família, amizades, classes sociais, racismo, homofobia e bullying, discutidos entre mãe, filha e avó. “Além do que os nossos olhos registram” trata da convivência entre três gerações de mulheres, com visões diferentes de suas vivências particulares, para problemas semelhantes. De maneira emocional, o espetáculo aborda as angústias e alegrias do universo feminino.
As personagens são mulheres comuns, dessas que encontramos nas esquinas da vida, e por isso são tão fascinantes. Delfina – personagem interpretada por Luíza Tomé – quando jovem, casou-se com um rapaz negro, a família era contra e, mesmo assim, enfrentou o preconceito da época e foi viver sua história de amor. Desta união nasceu Violeta, personagem de Letícia Birkheuer – que veio ao mundo com os traços da mãe, com a cor do pai, e desde pequena sente vergonha dele. Aos vinte anos, entre viver uma história de amor e casar com um homem mais velho e rico, optou pelo casamento por interesse e, nasceu Sofia. Sofia – interpretada por Priscila Fantin – como toda filha única, sempre foi muito cobrada, é a filhinha do papai, que eles esperam ver casada com um bonito rapaz de família importante. Violeta sonha e planeja o casamento do século para sua única filha. Quando Sofia assume ser lésbica, o mundo de sua mãe desmorona e ela põe para fora todo o seu preconceito até então velado.
