A SP-Arte/Foto – Feira de Fotografia de São Paulo, um dos mais importantes eventos dedicados à linguagem artística, irá movimentar o circuito durante o mês de agosto. Entre os dias 22 e 26, o Shopping JK Iguatemi, de São Paulo, recebe importantes galerias e registros dos mais renomados fotógrafos do Brasil e do mundo. Com o objetivo de estreitar os laços entre as obras expostas e os visitantes, a Feira contará também com uma programação que inclui atividades paralelas, entre visitas guiadas, circuito de ateliês abertos e ciclos de debates e palestras, o Talks.

A 12ª edição reúne 33 expositores. As galerias Emmathomas, Fortes D’Aloia & Gabriel, Gabriel Wickbold, Mapa, OMA, Silvia Cintra + Box4 e VilaNova estreiam na SP-Arte/Foto/2018. Após um hiato de quatro anos, a galeria Nara Roesler retorna ao evento. A essa seleção, juntam-se as veteranas Dan, Fólio, Lume, Mario Cohen, Marcelo Guarnieri, entre outras.
Entre os destaques já confirmados, estão um conjunto de fotografias do americano David LaChapelle, apresentado pela Babel; uma série inédita da gaúcha Romy Pocztaruk, pela Zipper; e registros de Mauro Restiffe, Erika Verzutti e Luiz Roque pela Fortes D’Aloia & Gabriel. A Galeria Vermelho, por sua vez, traz séries de Rosangela Rennó e Marcelo Moschetta.
A estreante MaPa apresenta ao público seu acervo de fotoclubismo e fotojornalismo vintage, produzido entre as décadas de 1940 e 1970, por nomes como Orlando Pilar Duarte, Ferenc Aszmann e José Lambert.
A SP-Arte/Foto traz ainda uma novidade: uma homenagem a German Lorca, um dos mais importantes nomes da fotografia brasileira. Aos 96 anos e prestes a ser protagonista de uma retrospectiva no Itaú Cultural, Lorca assina um ensaio inédito, produzido especialmente para a revista da SP-Arte/Foto/ 2018.
