“THE CARPENTERS – O MUSICAL” tem conquistado milhares de fãs por todo o País, lotou a casa de shows em 23 de setembro, no Tom Brasil e deixou saudades. Os “Carpenters” foi um dos grupos românticos mais famosos da década de 70, inicio dos anos 80. A banda tinha como base as canções compostas pelos irmãos Karen e Richard Carpenter. Com seu estilo melódico, eles alcançaram por diversas vezes o topo das paradas americanas, tornando-se um dos maiores representantes do pop romântico mundial. O reconhecimento ao longo da carreira veio através de 3 Grammy’s conquistados pela dupla entre vários discos de ouro.
O musical-tributo surgiu da ideia de Vânia Evans que faz a Karen Carpenter. Vania é uma cantora paulistana que teve muita influência do pop romântico dos anos 70 e 80. Ela percebeu que no Brasil jamais foi feito um trabalho que homenageasse os irmãos mais “românticos” do mundo. Vania durante anos treinou e aperfeiçoou a sua voz de forma que ficasse com o timbre idêntico ao de Karen.
