“The Boys”: Série sobre super-heróis é renovada para segunda temporada
A série “The Boys”, uma produção da Amazon Prime Vídeo inspirada nos quadrinhos, ganhou uma segunda temporada pouco tempo após a estreia da primeira, cujos capítulos já estão disponíveis no catálogo da plataforma de streaming desde o dia 26 de julho.
O anúncio foi feito durante o painel da série na San Diego Comic-Con. Também foi revelado que a atriz Aya Cash, conhecida por séries como “You’re the Worst” e “Fosse/Verdon”, integrará o elenco da segunda parte da produção.
A série, baseada nas HQs de Garth Ennis e Darick Robertson, foi criada por Eric Kripke (de Supernatural), mostra um mundo onde os super-heróis são as maiores celebridades do planeta, e tem como costume abusar de seus poderes ao invés de usá-los para o bem.
O grupo que dá nome à série tenta expor esses heróis como realmente eles são. Nomes como Jack Quaid, Elizabeth Shue, Karl Urban, Karen Fukuhara, Jessie T. Usher, Simon Pegg e Chace Crawford integram o elenco da primeira temporada.
