Dentro da área musical desde a adolescência, Leandro di Santi, mais conhecido como Dron di Santi, acaba de estrear em carreira solo com o single ‘Na Areia’. Por sete anos à frente da extinta Banda Believe e outras duas anteriores no currículo, o cantor paulistano retorna aos holofotes após um ano de trabalho focado nas composições do inédito projeto ‘Prosa’.
Ele não só lançou o single, como já o apresentou com videoclipe divido entre gravações na Austrália e em São Paulo. Visão ampla e na busca de versatilidade profissional, Di Santi assina roteiro e direção do videoclipe de ‘Na Areia’. Aproveitamos todas estas novidades e chamamos Dron para um bate-papo sobre a nova fase.

ACESSO CULTURAL – Olá Dron, bom te ver retornando com novo projeto musical, agora solo. Saindo do rock/powerpop para uma pegada mais swingada groove com reggae, como foi essa transição?
DRON – Fala aê galera do Acesso Cultural! Obrigado, muito bom estar aqui com vocês novamente.
Vamos à Prosa. 😉 Na verdade o processo foi até que natural, porque não houve bem uma transição, pois já componho músicas nesse estilo antes mesmo do meu projeto anterior ter acabado. Aliás, minha contribuição nas composições na Believe já estavam caminhando pra esse lado… O que rolou é que chegou um ponto que eu já estava com algumas músicas praticamente prontas que não iriam caber no que eu estava fazendo no momento, foi aí que surgiu a ideia de um novo projeto, inicialmente paralelo.
AC – Quais artistas você curte e que serviram de inspiração neste novo som?
D – Sempre gostei muito de música nacional, mas confesso que ultimamente tenho dado mais ouvidos a artistas como Djavan, Jorge Ben Jor, Seu Jorge, Rael, Emicida, Natiruts, O Rappa… Da gringa dei uma boa explorada em Bob Marley, Jackson 5, Jamiroquai, Aloe Black, Joss Stone, Jason Mraz, The Weekend entre outros…
AC – Você chama esta nova fase de projeto ‘Prosa’, o por que deste nome e não se lançar direto como Dron Di Santi?
D – Acredito que PROSA resuma mais este projeto do que meu próprio nome artístico. Apesar de não estar focando muito na imagem dos integrantes nessa nova fase, acho que a contribuição deles como banda nas canções é tão rica que seria injusto carregar apenas um nome. Prosa é um termo usado para definir bom papo, boa conversa, assunto agradável entre duas ou mais pessoas; deriva do latim ‘prose’, que significa discurso direto, livre, em linha reta. E é exatamente essa mensagem e experiência que eu quero proporcionar através da música.
AC – ‘Na Areia’ é autoral e a primeira música de trabalho. Como foi o processo de composição e qual a mensagem da canção?
D – A compus em um carnaval na ‘Praia do Sono’, no Rio de Janeiro, com a presença do nascer do sol, foi um momento muito especial, acho até que por isso a escolhi pra ser o primeiro single. É uma música que fala sobre conexão, sobre ser paciente e não cultivar problemas, deixando eles irem embora pra dar espaço para o tempo consertar tudo, que o que for bom e verdadeiro de uma forma ou de outra sempre estará conectado a você, se você permitir. “Pro mar levar e só trazer de volta, o que agora realmente importa pra nunca mais ir embora.”
AC – Bacana que você lançou o single direto com um videoclipe, e detalhe, com cenas internacionais (!). Onde e como foram estas gravações?
D – Lancei dessa forma porque já queria logo de cara deixar o projeto um pouco mais “palpável” e um videoclipe em conjunto com a música faz muito bem esse papel. Metade do clipe foi filmado em Perth, na Austrália. Escrevi o roteiro e enviei exatamente como queria as cenas para o cineasta Stuart Shepherd. Ele que fez toda a captação das cenas da minha amiga, atriz e modelo Marina Martini Tomagnini, hoje residente no país; ambos desenvolveram trabalhos excelentes!

AC – Na ficha técnica você assina o roteiro e a direção do vídeo, isso mostra a tendência do artista de hoje, de não só participar com a imagem e a voz e deixar outras fases nas mãos de outros profissionais, mas de estar a par do processo completo e direcionar a carreira com autonomia em todos os projetos. Você acha que é essa a tendência daqui pra frente? Como você vê esta independência no mercado?
D – Acho excelente e aconselho a todos os músicos se arriscarem a fazer também. Na minha opinião isso contribui muito para que o artista consiga passar sua verdade como um todo, descobrir novas possibilidades e deixar tudo muito mais sua cara, fazendo com que a mensagem que quer passar tenha mais clareza e objetividade. Não desmerecendo claro, os responsáveis por executar essas atividades no mercado, que já contribuiu e continuará contribuindo muito também no caso de artistas que preferem não explorar outros campos. Mas pra mim serve também como uma realização pessoal e profissional. Na arte, além da música gosto muito de desenhar, pintar, estou começando a escrever um livro e sou viciado em cinema, então foi muito prazeroso trabalhar profissionalmente com roteiro, storyboard e direção do primeiro videoclipe do projeto.
AC – Mais singles avulsos, um EP ou álbum, o que os fãs podem esperar em breve? E shows?
D – Já estamos trabalhando em novas músicas, mas ainda não decidi qual será o formato a ser lançado, provavelmente um EP, ainda este ano. É provável também que em breve confirmaremos um show de lançamento, mas o foco agora é a divulgação do primeiro trabalho.
