Depois de enorme sucesso no Rio de Janeiro e com uma temporada aclamada em Portugal, o musical Miranda Por Miranda estreia no Teatro Augusta, em São Paulo, dia 05 de julho.
Com duas indicações ao Prêmio Shell de Teatro, o espetáculo recebeu o prêmio na categoria Música, pela direção musical de Tim Rescala.
Com sua graça, seus balangandãs e seu borogodó, a cantora Carmen Miranda foi o farol pioneiro do Brasil. Nossa referencia nacional.
Para homenagear a diva, Stella Miranda reconstrói a personagem da Pequena Notável.
Stella Miranda, já havia encarnado Carmen Miranda em 2001, no musical de maior sucesso dos palcos cariocas, South American Way, em parceria com Miguel Falabella. Em Miranda por Miranda, apresenta músicas garimpadas do repertório fabuloso da Chiquita Bacana, maior ícone da cultura nacional.
Acompanhada de quatro atores/cantores e mais três músicos na banda, Stella Miranda recria clássicos de Ary Barroso e Assis Valente entre outros compositores brasileiríssimos.
O premiado maestro Tim Rescala assina a revisão histórica dos arranjos, a figurinista Rita Murtinho e o cineasta Samir Abujamra com seus cenários virtuais, fazem uma releitura do ícone. E Stella Miranda revive o mito.
