Exposição de Rose Klabin tem entrada gratuita no MAMAM
O corpo – em especial, o feminino – é o eixo temático da atual pesquisa de Rose Klabin. O resultado será apresentado na exposição Memórias da Resistência, individual que a artista estreio no Museu de Arte Moderna Aloisio Magalhães – MAMAM, no Recife.
A partir de um ponto de vista feminino, Rose Klabin investiga sua ancestralidade e questiona seu lugar no mundo. É o que ela faz em Sutartine (2018), série de esculturas em mármore e engrenagens industriais, criadas a partir de pesquisas sobre sua descendência lituana.
Em outro momento, em uma espécie de ato ritualístico, Rose personifica uma figura feminina sacra. Trata-se da fotografia 3064 Peles (2019), obra inédita, na qual a artista teatraliza, simultaneamente, o desprendimento e a satisfação em relação à matéria que compõe a natureza do espaço em que se encontra: um deserto. Ela conecta seu corpo nu ao deserto através do pó que deixa escorrer por suas mãos, tal qual um líquido que purifica.
A relação da artista com os insumos da indústria de sua família – o papel – surge no vídeo Suspensão (2016). Rose usa um trator para mover grandes pedras, praticamente do tamanho de sua estatura e, nua, tenta consecutivamente revestir as pedras com camadas de celulose. Uma forma de mostrar o sujeito associado a uma materialidade viva, por vezes dotada de reciprocidade.
A trajetória de Rose Klabin foi compilada em um livro inédito, que leva seu nome no título. Recém lançada, a publicação foi organizada por Douglas de Freitas e compila registros de diferentes momentos da obra da artista. Figuram análises críticas assinadas por Freitas, Fernanda Lopes, Juliana Monachesi, Rafael Vogt Maia Rosa e Paula Alzugaray.
