Brasileiro radicado em Paris apresenta espetáculo baseado no Evangelho de Tomé. A atriz Maria de Medeiros faz participação especial em locução

Depois de atuar no musical Ciao Amore Ciao – sobre a vida e a obra do cantor italiano Luigi Tenco -, no Theatre Petit Saint Martin, em Paris, o ator, bailarino e cantor radicado na França, Antonio Interlandi, volta ao Brasil para estrear o espetáculo Palavras Esquecidas – O Evangelho Segundo Tomé, no Teatro Eva Herz, em temporada de 15 de setembro a 9 de dezembro (sessões quintas e sextas-feiras, às 21h).
A montagem tem a participação da atriz portuguesa Maria de Medeiros em uma locução que abre o espetáculo. O texto foi traduzido e adaptado por Jean Gillibert e Antonio Interlandi, com supervisão de direção da diretora francesa Nita Klein e estreou em Paris, no Theatre Bichat, em 2012.
O espetáculo é baseado no texto do Evangelho Segundo Tomé (Século II). Uma série de 114 dizeres atribuídos a Cristo e encontrados na década de 1940 durante escavações no Egito. Diferente dos demais evangelhos, este texto apócrifo (que não está na Bíblia) não narra a vida de Jesus, mas traz uma coletânea de dizeres que teriam sido por ele pronunciados.
A peça mostra o apóstolo Tomé no instante em que se depara com estas palavras. Perplexo, atônito e atormentado pelo conteúdo, transmite, intuitivamente, com a sua voz e com o seu corpo, estes dizeres. “Imaginei o impacto que este texto poderia causar, conectando o personagem com pensamentos tão diferentes de sua época. Ao mesmo tempo perdido e encantado, confiante e assombrado. Por meio das palavras transmitidas por Tomé, a peça traz a ideia de que há em cada um de nós uma essência imortal que transcende o próprio homem”, explica Interlandi.
O ator tomou conhecimento da obra folheando livros na biblioteca de sua professora de teatro em Paris. “Fiquei surpreso com o conteúdo e com a forma, tão inesperados para um texto do gênero. Me veio a ideia da utilização contemporânea do movimento e da palavra para transmitir este texto”, conta.
O espetáculo expõe a noção da não-dualidade e questiona certos posicionamentos dogmáticos cristãos, como o conceito de culpa ou a visão maniqueísta de bem e mal. O texto defende ainda o pensamento gnóstico de que há em cada um de nós uma essência imortal que transcende o próprio homem, provendo sentido à nossa existência.
Para o ator, a montagem é uma imersão poética, na qual palavra, dança e canto coexistem em um só corpo, em uma só voz. “Quando li este texto pela primeira vez, encarei-o como um grande poema. Imediatamente senti a necessidade da dança, do movimento para poder contar esta aventura. Foram dois anos de um trabalho novo para mim, solitário, que conjugava as diferentes linguagens que eu possuía e que foi polido pelo diretor e escritor Jean Gillibert e pela diretora e atriz Nita Klein, tentando elaborar o justo equilíbrio entre o texto, o gesto e o som.”
A atriz portuguesa Maria de Medeiros assistiu a um ensaio geral da peça, em Paris, quando Interlandi trabalhava na adaptação da montagem para o Brasil. “Fiquei feliz de poder de alguma maneira participar do espetáculo. Gosto da ideia de ‘dançar’ os textos, algo que procuro sempre fazer quando estou em cena. Antonio leva essa ideia muito longe, precisamente porque ele é também bailarino”, conta a atriz que está no México gravando um longa metragem.
“Criamos esta peça inteiramente em francês. O fato de adaptá-la agora para o português trouxe uma nova respiração, uma cadência mais íntima, mais instintiva. A voz da Maria de Medeiros contribui para traçar este novo caminho, no qual o personagem de Tomé poderá se aventurar a cada noite de apresentação,” conclui Interlandi.
