Dire Straits Legacy – Integrantes do Dire Straits fazem turnê no Brasil
Com o objetivo de reunir velhos amigos que fizeram parte de discos icônicos da banda inglesa Dire Straits, o projeto Dire Straits Legacy está fazendo uma turnê internacional com os ex-integrantes Phil Palmer, Alan Clark, Danny Cummings, Mel Collins, Andy Treacey, Mickey Feat, Primiano Dibiase e Marco Caviglia. O grupo chega ao Brasil em maio e se apresenta em seis cidades: em São Paulo, no Espaço das Américas, no dia 04 de maio, em Porto Alegre, no Auditório Araújo Viana, no dia 05 de maio, em Florianópolis, no P12, no dia 06 de maio, em Vitória, na Arena Vitória, no dia 11 de maio, em Salvador, na Arena Fonte Nova, no dia 12 de maio, e em Recife, no Classic Hall, no dia 13 de maio.
O projeto nasceu do amor pela música da banda britânica com a missão de levar essas canções para os fãs que ficaram sem shows ao vivo por um longo tempo. Desde que o Dire Straits fez sua última turnê, On Every Street, entre 1991 e 1992, o gênio musical Mark Knopfler preferiu deixar as canções do grupo para trás e tocar as suas composições solo. Como o mundo segue pedindo pelo Dire Straits, a Dire Straits Legacy se reuniu para trazer o som ao vivo de volta para os fãs.
Uma reunião em Milão, no verão de 2013, introduziu a missão para produzir e promover, com paixão de alto nível, música de qualidade. A primeira turnê da Dire Straits Legacy – que teve uma formação de Phil Palmer, Pick Withers, Danny Cummings, Jack Sonni, Mel Collins, Marco Caviglia, Primiano Dibase e Maurizio Meo – foi um sucesso incrível com cinco shows esgotados na Itália.
Em uma segunda turnê, John Illsley e Steve Ferrone se juntaram à banda para nove shows em teatros incríveis e a cerimônia final do 97o Giro d’Italia que reuniu 20 mil pessoas aplaudindo o grupo. E agora, depois de muitos pedidos para o projeto tocar em outros países, a turnê internacional chega ao Brasil.
