Após um ano de apresentações em outras dez cidades, vista por mais de 30 mil pessoas, a peça Grande Sertão: Veredas volta a São Paulo. A aclamada montagem de Bia Lessa sobre a obra de Guimarães Rosa terá sessões no Sesc Pompeia, aos sábados, às 20h30, e domingos, às 18h30, até 24 de fevereiro de 2019.

A nova temporada é uma oportunidade à população de todo o estado de São Paulo que não conseguiu ver a peça no Sesc Consolação em setembro e outubro de 2017, quando estreou e teve ingressos esgotados em todas as sessões.
Além do sucesso nos locais em que passou – Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba, Belo Horizonte, Recife, Salvador, Brasília, Fortaleza, Manaus, Santos e Porto Alegre -, o grupo de Bia Lessa retorna com importantes prêmios na bagagem: melhor direção pelo APCA 2017; melhor direção e melhor ator (Caio Blat) no Prêmio Shell; melhor espetáculo de teatro no Prêmio Bravo! 2018; e melhor espetáculo independente e melhor arquitetura cênica no Prêmio Aplauso Brasil de Teatro.
Caio Blat, Luíza Lemmertz, Luísa Arraes, Leonardo Miggiorin, Balbino de Paula, Daniel Passi, Elias de Castro, Lucas Oranmian e Clara Lessa seguem no elenco afinado que passa quase três horas ininterruptas em cena. A novidade é José Maria Rodrigues, que substitui Leon Góes.
Workshop
Como transpor ao palco uma leitura da maior obra literária brasileira do século XX Mais que uma pergunta, esta foi a missão da diretora teatral Bia Lessa ao decidir mergulhar nos universos contidos em Grande Sertão: Veredas, de João Guimarães Rosa, e as inúmeras possibilidades de análise do romance. A resposta é fruto de um processo que durou quatro meses de trabalho diário com o elenco antes da estreia, em setembro de 2017, em São Paulo.
