A Warner Bros. Pictures e Amazon Studios divulgam o primeiro trailer de O Pintassilgo, uma aguardada adaptação cinematográfica do romance best-seller e mundialmente aclamado O Pintassilgo, de Donna Tartt, que ganhou o Prêmio Pulitzer de ficção em 2014 e a Medalha Andrew Carnegie de Excelência em Ficção.
O filme, que tem estreia prevista para 10 de outubro, também ganhou sua primeira arte, que destaca a obra de arte que dá nome ao longa: a pintura de um pequeno pássaro acorrentado a seu poleiro.
Dirigido pelo vencedor do prêmio BAFTA John Crowley (“Brooklin”), o longe apresenta um elenco com várias gerações liderado por Ansel Elgort (“Em Ritmo de Fuga”) como Theo Decker, e a vencedora do Oscar Nicole Kidman (“As Horas”, “Big Little Lies”), como a Sra. Barbour.
Theodore “Theo” Decker tinha 13 anos quando sua mãe foi morta em um ataque a bomba no Metropolitan Museum of Art. A tragédia muda o curso de sua vida, enviando-lhe para uma emocionante odisseia de tristeza e culpa, reinvenção e redenção, e até mesmo amor.
