O Amazon Prime Video acaba de divulgar o trailer oficial de El Presidente, que estreia globalmente na sexta-feira, 05 de junho de 2020.
A aguardada série Original Amazon El Presidente trará a história do escândalo de corrupção da Fifa em 2015, conhecido como ‘FIFA Gate’, para clientes em mais de 200 países e territórios em todo o mundo, com exclusividade no Amazon Prime Video. Tendo como pano de fundo diversas cidades da América Latina, EUA e Europa, a série explora o escândalo esportivo que abalou o mundo através da história de Sergio Jadue, presidente de um pequeno time de futebol chileno que saiu do anonimato para se tornar um ator importante na conspiração envolvendo o suborno de U$ 150 milhões pelas mãos do infame presidente da federação argentina de futebol, Julio Grondona.
A série dramática de oito episódios com uma hora de duração cada possui um elenco repleto de estrelas, incluindo Karla Souza (How to Get Away with Murder), Andrés Parra (Pablo Escobar: El Patrón del Mal), Paulina Gaitán (Diablo Guardian), entre outros. O drama é escrito e dirigido pelo diretor e roteirista vencedor do Oscar Armando Bo (Birdman), que também é produtor executivo da série, junto com os diretores Natalia Beristain (Luis Miguel: La Serie) e Gabriel Díaz (Bala Loca). Além de Bo, El Presidente é co-produzida pela Gaumont e tem como parceiros de produção a Fabula – produtora vencedora do Oscar e liderada por Pablo e Juan de Dios Larraín – além da produtora argentina, Kapow.
